Mural for restaurant
A dream commission and a fantastic opportunity to capture Brighton's communities and vibrant life. Having lived and studied here, some of the best times I’ve had are over the summer. Setting up camp on the beach with friends with a bottle of wine while watching the sun go down behind the West pier. There's never a dull moment with music, festivals, theatre and art always on show I wanted to capture the buzz and warmth of Brighton in the summer.
With the downstairs theme of the beach and outdoors, it was a perfect opportunity to capture this in my mural. The sea-front is for everyone and it was important to capture this diversity. Bringing in some big splashes of colour I used the restaurant for inspiration. Giant chillies, herbs, basil and rosemary become the foliage around the iconic Pavilion while moving across you have the beach with people swimming in the sea and romance blossoming with the West Pier in the background.
